🌸 Hi Guys!, I hope you’re having a beautiful day, today I’ll share with you my November Wrap Up, where I tell you about the books that I’ve read during the month. I’m really very pleased with my reading month, I think I was able to read almost everything I set out to read, so I’m happy about it.
Leaving the month’s readings a little aside, I had an INCREDIBLE month regarding the beautiful support I’ve received from all of you, I don’t like sharing my statistics and those things, because I feel there are many people who are just starting and they could feel the pressure about it, you know and I say this, because I’ve been there, but I just wanted to share with you that it’s been a great month for the blog. I’ve noticed a great growth in terms of followers in just a couple of days and that was amazing and such a beautiful surprise 😍
The blog has turned 2 years this month and that makes me felt a little bit nostalgic because it has happened so fast, but at the same time, I renewed my desire to continue with this project that gives me so much satisfaction and also, I have many new ideas for the next year and I’m very exciting to share them with you 🎉
I’ve started a new post series on the blog called “Spreading Love || Book Bloggers” (Part 1), where I’ll be sharing every week 5 extraordinary book bloggers that deserve all the love, and I’ve received beautiful messages regarding this and also a lot of support so I’m glad you like it, I’ll continue with this post series, as a way to express my gratitude to the community.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THESE THINGS, YOU’RE ALWAYS THERE FOR ME 💕
Well, back to my reading, I read a total of 6 complete books and I want to add 1 more to the list, because although while I’m writing this I haven’t finished it yet, I’ll surely do it by the time this is uploaded and you have seen it. So this month was great for me, I’m very pleased with what I’ve read, I’ve had quite normal readings but I’ve loved a couple of them. As always I had some variety, from sci-fi, which is rare in me, to romance, magical creatures, paranormal, fantasy and a pretty much dark retelling. Without further ado, let’s START! 🌸
🧜♀️ ARCs of the Month 🌟
This book follows two twin sisters in their struggle to survive in a dystopian society where the government imposed the Rule of One, which prevents couples from having more than one child.
I don’t usually read dystopic stories as much as I did before, so it’s been fun for me to be able to return to this kind of world. What I saw of this particular world I enjoyed it, although I would have liked to have a deeper general view regarding to the world building. On the other hand, one of my favorite things was the relationship between the sisters, it was captured to perfection and the chemistry between them was very real, and all this obviously is due to the fact that this book is not only about twin sisters but it was also written by twin sisters, which is incredible, and I feel I couldn’t not mentioning that.
It falls in many typical points in what is a dystopic reading, but I would still recommend it, mix a bit the genre with sci-fi aspects which I liked a lot, and I recommend it especially if you’re interested in a good relationship between sisters. Published: October 1st 2018
The Rule of One (The Rule of One #1) by Ashley Saunders & Leslie Saunders (3.7/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) REVIEW HERE
Well, this is the super exciting new book of what will be a new series within the same world of the mythical Lux series. I was incredibly excited by this book, but I ended up a little disappointed, maybe my expectations were high, but I didn’t feel that it was as good as I expected, I had a good time with it, but I’m not that impressed. I think the plot is entertaining, also the construction of the powers, and the magic in general, is still something that I love, like I did in the original series. On the other hand ,I feel that what stopped me from enjoying it completely were the characters, I think they’re characters that would have worked very well many years ago but today I feel like they don’t. I don’t like Evie as the main character and I think that although I was interested in knowing more about Luc, I feel that he’s not the same character that I remembered. I didn’t enjoy the romance either, at all ,so I don’t know if I’ll be continuing with this series, we’ll see. Published: October 30th 2018
The Darkest Star (Origin #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout (3/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️) REVIEW HERE
I’m really pleasantly surprised by this book, it’s so INCREDIBLE. This book follows a mermaid who has been captured by a fearsome captain, until the ship is approached by other people and so Perle knows her new captor who promises to keep her safe, but she doesn’t trust humans and must make very hard decisions in order to save herself and the other sirens.
This book is all DIVERSITY, there’s a great variety of representations, besides everything is done in a very unique, respectful and natural way. The sirens in this book don’t have a specific genre so that means that with this book you see the world in a different way, which I find very rich in learning. I think you have to read it, it’s a super entertaining and original experience. Published: July 26th 2018
Our Bloody Pearl (These Treacherous Tides #1) by D.N. Bryn (4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) REVIEW HERE
Short Storie ✨
I enjoyed a lot of this short novella even though I don’t like Taryn at all, so if you don’t like Taryn either, I think you can read this one and enjoy it. I feel that it was interesting to read the same story but from Taryn’s point of view, I think that here many of her actions make more sense, I still think they’re wrong lol, but I feel that I can see a clearer picture of the situations. And I think it’s a good bridge before reading the second book, maybe it will make you see everything in a different way
The Lost Sisters (The Folk of the Air #1.5) by Holly Black (4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) REVIEW HERE
I Completed my Re-Reading🌙
Mini-Review
I’m so in love with this books, all them are so close to my heart, I never forget about this characters, they’re the best part and I’m happy to have decided to re-read the main trilogy. Now I’m ready to read the next book and I can’t be more excited for, I LOVE Zu
In, In The Afterlight are so many moments of tension and action, it was a bit exhausting to read it, but even so was incredible. Something punctual happens in this book that destroyed my heart, but at the same time I like how the characters react around this event because I think it makes them stronger. I really liked the end, but now reading it for the second time, I think it makes sense that there’s another book and that it could be interesting since there are many possibilities that can occur in this world in the future, so it will be interesting to read about it.
I’m proud of Ruby, I adore Liam, Chubs is simply great, I admire Vida and her strength and Zu is that little light that illuminates the whole story. Jude & Cole are my babies and I love them forever
I feel so sentimental, I just LOVE these books
In The Afterlight (The Darkest Minds #3) by Alexandra Bracken (4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
🌑 Dark and Delicious 🕸
Love this book, I’m just in love with it and I think that from what I’ve read is an unpopular opinion, but I think it deserves all the recognition. This is a retelling of the famous Frankenstain story and is true to its style, dark and atmospheric.
I think the thing that got me completely from this book were its characters, Elizabeth Lavenza is GOLD, I need a character like that in all my books, she’s strong, brave, manipulative and smart, I just LOVE her. The plot is also super catchy and although I agree that it can be slow pace, there’s no waste in this book and I think many things happen in it continuously, I didn’t have time to get bored with it, it’s excellent!
The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White (4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) REVIEW HERE
Seventh Book / Current Reading 🗡️
Immortal Reign (Falling Kingdoms #6) by Morgan Rhodes
I’m about 50 pag to finish it, and I’ve been seriously thinking about leaving it here and pretending it never ended lol. I love this series so much that I knew it was impossible for this last book to disappoint me. I’m having incredible moments with it, as well as a moment of surprise, horror and sadness, but I already knew this, these books are a roller coaster of emotions for me. I don’t want to talk much about it, I’ll do it in my review, but I love the characters, so I’m pretty nostalgic about this book. So far I love it, but many things can happen in 50 pages, we’ll see.
my review will be up next week
I need to go back and read The Dark Descent, it sounds like just my thing. Sounds like you had a fantastic month!

Oooh – I love that cover for Our Bloody Pearl. My favorite read this month was probably The Similars by Rebecca Hanover – it’s a YA sci-fi, and the first in a series involving clones.
