In the beginning, there’s a boy standing in the trees…
Clara Gardner has recently learned that she’s part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has a purpose, something she was put on this earth to do. Figuring out what that is, though, isn’t easy.

Her visions of a raging forest fire and an alluring stranger lead her to a new school in a new town. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall into place and out of place at the same time. Because there’s another guy, Tucker, who appeals to Clara’s less angelic side.

As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she’d have to make between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. When the fire from her vision finally ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?

Unearthly is a moving tale of love and fate, and the struggle between following the rules and following your heart.

“So often we only do what we think is expected of us, when we are capable of so much more.”

I really enjoyed this story, has been for me, like a breath of fresh air. I needed in my life a book such light, fun, interesting and easy to read , and I found it.

I liked the physical place where the story unfolds, for some reason made me feel at home, in a cozy way, I feel also that the way in which everything is described, might be a great TV series . I found very like The Vampire Diaries style xD.

From the beginning I manage to catch my attention , I was very excited about the whole thing about angels, I did not read anything about angels from Hush Hush, so yes!, it’s been a while . So I was very prepared to be approached and surprised with all the supernatural theme.
The theme of the plan who Clara should meet, which is the main problem to solve in history, it has been super interesting for me, I really like those things of visions and destiny.

description

I really like Clara,I think she is authentic, very responsible with the theme of which is an blood angel, ie, I have seen her quite committed to the cause, perhaps more than half of the book, which I really liked it, and while that anyone could simply have denied of his destiny, and although she has doubts for a few moments, she is aware than what actually she is and should do, and is also a main character who can get the same questions that we ourselves do in the course of the plot, so one can easily feel affection for her

“I feel like Cinderella sitting in the middle of the road with a pumpkin and a couple of mice, while Prince Charming charges off to rescue some other chick.”

I have a very big problem with this love triangle , because I somehow I always choose the boy who is left alone hahaha. In this case it is even worse, because I love both male characters, I think they are fantastic !, they are sweet and super attentive and attractive, sorry guys, but I can’t choose on of them yet.
Maybe a part of me feels fondest to Christian, because all the end I was wishing that something will happen between them, but Tucker is adorable as well and I think he loves her genuinely, so I support that, we must be recognize that these two have given us of the best romantic scenes in the book :).
The only thing I hope is an amazing end for both

“Tucker: “But she gave me the perfect gift.”
Clara: “What?”
Tucker: “You.”

description

I want to highlight Clara’s relationship with his mother, because I love it, are so united as friends and reminds me of my mother and I :3. Feelings! :).
I hope that even when after half the book things change a bit, their relationship improves and her mother tell her secrets, I hope that these revelations will be amazing :).

I need to know more about angels and their powers, if they have it, I need all the information, , so of course , I will continue for the second book and see how it goes :).

“Have you ever been to a place you’re supposed to love, but all you can think about is home?”

For months Clara Gardner trained to face the fire from her visions, but she wasn’t prepared for the choice she had to make that day. And in the aftermath, she discovered that nothing about being part angel is as straightforward as she thought.

Now, torn between her love for Tucker and her complicated feelings about the roles she and Christian seem destined to play in a world that is both dangerous and beautiful, Clara struggles with a shocking revelation: Someone she loves will die in a matter of months. “Our purpose on this earth is not one single event, an accomplishment we can check off a list. There is no test. No passing or failing. There’s only us, each moment shaping who we are, into what we will become.”

I loved this book, I enjoyed it much more than the first one, and although at first I was somewhat heavy, on the other hand its content is very interesting.

And even though I have many questions, I think it answered a few at this time
I remember the first book although it was a beautiful and light reading , I didn’t feel shocked me at any time, in this case I felt caught in an opportunity, that has cast myself even more hooked with the plot. At the same time initially was somewhat predictable, the theme of the visions that Clara had, well I personally could guess where the plot was when she took a completely different path before actually discovering the truth, which hasn’t been a surprise .
But then Clara’s dad shows up and is coolest thing of this book, I’m super excited to see what gonna to happen in the next.

I fell in love with Christian in this book, is so noble and interesting, the truth is that I think I’ve already chosen my side in this love triangle. I don’t know how this continues, but he is an excellent character. His scenes with Clara are beautiful !.

“I’ll never forget the way he tastes. It’s not anything I can describe, a little sweet and a whole lot of spice, and it feels, in that moment, absolutely right.”

description

I have to confess that I’ve dropped a tear with some scenes with Clara and her mother , it was super sentimental and has touched my heart. I can not wait to see how Clara faced the world now, she will face her destiny, finally and place which occupied each character at the end. I’m excited for the last book :).

“There’s nothing more inspiring than the complexity and beauty of the human heart.”

P.D: If it took me a while to read it, I want to clarify, that was not because the book is heavy at all, because for me these books are very quick to read, it’s just that I haven’t had much time to read 😦

Genre :  YA – Romance – Paranormal – Contemporary – Angels

The past few years have held more surprises than part-angel Clara Gardner could ever have anticipated. Yet from the dizzying highs of first love, to the agonizing low of losing someone close to her, the one thing she can no longer deny is that she was never meant to live a normal life.

Since discovering the special role she plays among the other angel-bloods, Clara has been determined to protect Tucker Avery from the evil that follows her . . . even if it means breaking both their hearts. Leaving town seems like the best option, so she’s headed back to California – and so is Christian Prescott, the irresistible boy from the vision that started her on this journey in the first place.

As Clara makes her way in a world that is frighteningly new, she discovers that the fallen angel who attacked her is watching her every move. And he’s not the only one. . . . With the battle against the Black Wings looming, Clara knows she must finally fulfill her destiny. But it won’t come without sacrifices and betrayal.

In the riveting finale of the Unearthly series, Clara must decide her fate once and for all.

“We think of happiness as something we can take. But usually it comes from being content with what we have, and accepting ourselves.”

I’m a little disappointed right now, as usual a book is not finished as I wanted haha and that leaves me a little bit lost about how I feel for it. But here we go…

Although that I could change the ending for a thousand ways to make it so wonderful for me, I think that ending was really sweet, I’m filled with moments of love, struggle and discovery, especially friendship, I think is the main word for describe it, FRIENDSHIP.

description

I can say that the main characters in this story, love each other like a family and that’s been lovely to read, Clara grew a lot in this last book, we see a more powerful Clara, always hesitant but more warrior than in previous books

I want to tell you that I’ll always love Christian, Team Christian forever. YAY! .
(view spoiler)

“I love you,” he murmurs. “Can you feel that? You. Not some destiny I think I’m called to. You. I’m with you. My strength. My soul. My heart. Feel it.”

description

It made me feel a lot on more than one occasion especially that scene about Clara and her mother was so beautiful !

“But now…it’s like when part of you stops hurting and suddenly you’re yourself again, healthy and whole, and only then do you understand that you’ve been in pain for a while.”

But even though I’m not entirely satisfied with the end, this book is super addictive and easy to read, and the truth that I’ve enjoyed , I can say that is my favorite of the three, would recommend, of course, to people who love good love triangles, a very complete story about angels and this whole thing about heaven and hell. It was a journey of discovery and destination, wonderful 🙂
