 🔥 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a wonderful day & a great start to the week, as I always tell you, I hope you’re also enjoying all your readings.❤️ Today I’m super excited to return with another top 5 that could also be a recommendation post because I love each one of these books with all my heart, so obviously, I highly recommend them, especially if, as the title says, you enjoy the morally-gray main characters. 👏🏻 What do I mean by this? Well, I know that we all have different concepts about what a “morally-gray” character is, for me, this means having a character who’s capable of doing anything to achieve his goals, characters that have dark actions or do something immoral during his journey or can also refer, in my personal opinion, to those characters that change as time passes and become vengeful and power-hungry. Today I’ve brought all those types of characters in these incredible 5 books, this time I wanted to focus on the main characters as such because I’ve read other books with these types of characters but they have secondary roles or the “villains” role as such, you know? so I wanted to put them aside to bring you this type of character as the main focus of the plot. 😊 

I hope this type of recommendation is for you and is something that you can enjoy, you know that I always try to bring you very varied recommendations & tops, so that no matter what your jam is you can find something for you, so if this time this is not something you interested in, that’s ok and I respect it, soon I bring another with brave characters and more of the heroes type, which I also personally love. 🥰

    • YES!! I know what you mean because I feel the same, I love when what leads the character to take revenge or seek justice is those he loves & I always feel so intimidated by Nevernight for some reason lol, but now I’ll have to put it on my list of priorities 😍👏🏻✨

  3. Oh, I also love The Young Elites! Adelina is such a fantastic, well-written character and I truly loved seeing her character Arc throughout the series! 🥰 My favorite book with a morally grey character would probably Vicious, though Victor is definitely really villainous 😈

  6. These books sound awesome! I’m definitely adding them to my TBR! I absolutely love morally-grey characters. They are so unexpected and gritty. They will do what it takes to stay alive, and that is a scary thought that makes for some darkly intriguing stories. I especially loved the first two book quotes. They are so hard-hitting!   7. Morally grey characters are awesome! One of my favorites is Victor from Vicious by V.E. Schwab though he could be considered an anti-hero more than a morally grey character, but it’s the same family lol. I’ve always heard of Circe but I always had this idea that it’s a classic, so I never wanted to read it, but now it does sound intriguing!

    I also love the redesign!! It’s so pretty 🥺✨

      I LOVE that you mention that they’re from the same family because I agree 100%, I just put them all in the same bag 😅
      Circe is slow-paced and somewhat descriptive but it’s worth it, it’s a very powerful story, so I hope you love if you get to read it. 😊

  14. I loved Circe – this is reminding me that in my own writing, it’s okay to have grey characters – but within reason. Do you think there is something that you can forgive and something you cannot in grey characters? For me, I can handle morally grey like Circe who uses her sexual power as her hold over others. But when I read another book that involved a ‘good’ character who performed pedophilia, I had to throw it away instantly. Just food for thought – while grey is permissible, repugnant acts like that cannot be.

      Absolutely, I think there are things that are just of a bad person or villain, and not morally gray, you know? pedophilia is terrible for me in any context and I couldn’t tolerate it.
      I like morally gray characters that have a good story behind or a good reason to support their actions, that’s quite important to me 😊

  21. I think it’s safe to say we all have a soft spot for those morally grey characters haha. However, having said that, I’ve not actually read any of these books. I remember being really excited by the sound of The Young Elites, but I think it’s one of those books that got lost in the shuffle of all the other books I wanted to read haha. Circe is on my kindle waiting for me to pick it up. I adored Miller’s Song of Achilles, so I have high hopes for this one too.

  22. I LOVED The Young Elites! Such a good trilogy. I’ve been meaning to read the Frankenstein one but just keep putting it off. I’m intrigued now that I know there’s a good morally grey character!

    • It makes me SO happy that you like it too!! ❤️ I think it deserves all the love, it’s just wonderful & I highly recommend The Dark Descent Of Elizabeth Frankenstein if you also like creepy and atmospheric plots, personally I think it’s kind slow-paced, but it’s SOOO worth it 😍✨

  27. Omg love that you did this because morally grey characters are lowkey the best haha. I’ve only read Thr Cruel Prince from this list but YES Jude is a perfect example. Though definitely need to get to the rest of these books. This is basic but my fave character is probs Kaz whoops IM SORRY
