December TBR | Catching Up: Finishing Some Series & Exciting 2020 ARCs ☀️

☀️ Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I’m sharing with you my reading plans for the month of December. I still don’t know how, but we have reached the last month of the year!! Isn’t that crazy? surely 2020 will be one of those years that we’ll never forget and not for the best reasons, but luckily it has passed super fast for me, I’m excited for the new year to come and I hope it’s full of blessings and good news to the world, I think we all deserve that. 🙏🏻
So here I am today to share with you my reading list for this last month of the year. When you’re reading this I’ll be on my break, so I don’t know how much I’ll be reading during this first week but that’s fine, this month will be a month of relaxation for me, so it’s okay if I don’t read too much, on the other hand, I’m SO excited to be able to share with you ALL the end of the year posts!! 😍
When I return from my break I’ll be sharing with you my best readings, my worst, and all those types of posts that I love to do every year.

My plan for this month is also to do a lot of blog hopping, I think I should give you back a little of all the support that you have given me, I feel super blessed to be part of this community, so I’ll try to support you all as much as I can, super excited for checking all your posts!! 🌟

So my reading plans are basically to finish catching up on some things, so in this way go into 2021 with a new vibe and eager to start new readings. First, I’ll be finishing some series, that’s really exciting for me, at last, I’ll be reading the final books of several series that I’m loving so far, and I’m dying to share that with you 🥰 & on the other hand, I still have a couple of ARCs that I want to read because they’re the last ARCs that I have left from this year’s releases and I would like to get into next year without any ARCs from 2020, you know? both books come out on December 1st, so I won’t get to read them for their release date but obviously, I’ll be reading and reviewing them during their release month, so I hope that’s enough, anyway super excited to tell you more about them! 😊
Then, if I’m lucky enough to finish with my priorities,
I’ll be adding my Back-Up Pile with two books that I would like to be able to read before the year ends, it’s fine if I can’t, though, there’s no pressure, but it’s something that I also want to share with you today. 👏🏻

So, super excited to share my December readings with you, I hope you have the best end of the year and above all that you and your family are safe and healthy.❤️ Now without further ado, I hope you decide to stay & let’s get started! ☀️

 🌸 My Last 2020 ARCs 🌙

☀️ A Curse of Roses by Diana Pinguicha | With just one touch, bread turns into roses. With just one bite, cheese turns into lilies.
There’s a famine plaguing the land, and Princess Yzabel is wasting food simply by trying to eat. Before she can even swallow, her magic—her curse—has turned her meal into a bouquet. She’s on the verge of starving, which only reminds her that the people of Portugal have been enduring the same pain.
If only it were possible to reverse her magic. Then she could turn flowers…into food.
Fatyan, a beautiful Enchanted Moura, is the only one who can help. But she is trapped by magical binds. She can teach Yzabel how to control her curse—if Yzabel sets her free with a kiss.
As the King of Portugal’s betrothed, Yzabel would be committing treason, but what good is a king if his country has starved to death?
With just one kiss, Fatyan is set free. And with just one kiss, Yzabel is yearning for more.
She’d sought out Fatyan to help her save the people. Now, loving her could mean Yzabel’s destruction.
Based on Portuguese legend, this #OwnVoices historical fantasy is an epic tale of mystery, magic, and making the impossible choice between love and duty…

☀️ A Curse of Ash and Embers (Tales of the Blackbone Witches #1) by Jo Spurrier | A dead witch. A bitter curse. A battle of magic.
Some people knit socks by the fire at night. Gyssha Blackbone made monsters.
But the old witch is dead now, and somehow it’s Elodie’s job to clean up the mess.
When she was hired at Black Oak Cottage, Elodie had no idea she’d find herself working for a witch; and her acid-tongued new mistress, Aleida, was not expecting a housemaid to turn up on her doorstep.
Gyssha’s final curse left Aleida practically dead on her feet, and now, with huge monsters roaming the woods, a demonic tree lurking in the orchard and an angry warlock demanding repayment of a debt, Aleida needs Elodie’s help, whether she likes it or not.
And no matter what the old witch throws at her, to Elodie it’s still better than going back home.

 🐉 Finishing Series 💫

☀️ The Toll (Arc of a Scythe #3) by Neal Shusterman | It’s been three years since Rowan and Citra disappeared; since Scythe Goddard came into power; since the Thunderhead closed itself off to everyone but Grayson Tolliver. In this pulse-pounding conclusion to New York Times bestselling author Neal Shusterman’s Arc of a Scythe trilogy, constitutions are tested and old friends are brought back from the dead.

☀️ Unravel the Dusk (The Blood of Stars #2) by Elizabeth Lim | Maia Tamarin’s journey to sew the dresses of the sun, the moon and the stars has taken a grievous toll. She returns to a kingdom on the brink of war. The boy she loves is gone, and she is forced to don the dress of the sun and assume the place of the emperor’s bride-to-be to keep the peace.
But the war raging around Maia is nothing compared to the battle within. Ever since she was touched by the demon Bandur, she has been changing . . . glancing in the mirror to see her own eyes glowing red, losing control of her magic, her body, her mind. It’s only a matter of time before Maia loses herself completely, but she will stop at nothing to find Edan, protect her family, and bring lasting peace to her country.
YA fantasy readers will love the sizzling forbidden romance, mystery, and intrigue of Unravel the Dusk.

☀️ Night of the Dragon (Shadow of the Fox #3) by Julie Kagawa | Kitsune shapeshifter Yumeko has given up the final piece of the Scroll of a Thousand Prayers in order to save everyone she loves from imminent death. Now she and her ragtag band of companions must journey to the wild sea cliffs of Iwagoto in a desperate last-chance effort to stop the Master of Demons from calling upon the Great Kami dragon and making the wish that will plunge the empire into destruction and darkness.
Shadow clan assassin Kage Tatsumi has regained control of his body and agreed to a true deal with the devil — the demon inside him, Hakaimono. They will share his body and work with Yumeko and their companions to stop a madman and separate Hakaimono from Tatsumi and the cursed sword that had trapped the demon for nearly a millennium.
But even with their combined skills and powers, this most unlikely team of heroes knows the forces of evil may be impossible to overcome. And there is another player in the battle for the scroll, a player who has been watching, waiting for the right moment to pull strings that no one even realized existed… until now.
Master storyteller Julie Kagawa concludes the enthralling journey into the heart of the fantastical Empire of Iwagoto in the third book of the Shadow of the Fox trilogy. As darkness rises and chaos reigns, a fierce kitsune and her shadowy protector will face down the greatest evil of all. A captivating fantasy for fans of Sabaa Tahir, Sarah J. Maas and Marie Lu.

 🌊 Back-Up Pile 🔥

☀️ Beach Read by Emily Henry | A romance writer who no longer believes in love and a literary writer stuck in a rut engage in a summer-long challenge that may just upend everything they believe about happily ever afters.
Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes bestselling romance. When she pens a happily ever after, he kills off his entire cast.
They’re polar opposites.
In fact, the only thing they have in common is that for the next three months, they’re living in neighboring beach houses, broke, and bogged down with writer’s block.
Until, one hazy evening, one thing leads to another and they strike a deal designed to force them out of their creative ruts: Augustus will spend the summer writing something happy, and January will pen the next Great American Novel. She’ll take him on field trips worthy of any rom-com montage, and he’ll take her to interview surviving members of a backwoods death cult (obviously). Everyone will finish a book and no one will fall in love. Really.

☀️ Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender | From Stonewall and Lambda Award-winning author Kacen Callender comes a revelatory YA novel about a transgender teen grappling with identity and self-discovery while falling in love for the first time.
Felix Love has never been in love—and, yes, he’s painfully aware of the irony. He desperately wants to know what it’s like and why it seems so easy for everyone but him to find someone. What’s worse is that, even though he is proud of his identity, Felix also secretly fears that he’s one marginalization too many—Black, queer, and transgender—to ever get his own happily-ever-after.
When an anonymous student begins sending him transphobic messages—after publicly posting Felix’s deadname alongside images of him before he transitioned—Felix comes up with a plan for revenge. What he didn’t count on: his catfish scenario landing him in a quasi–love triangle….
But as he navigates his complicated feelings, Felix begins a journey of questioning and self-discovery that helps redefine his most important relationship: how he feels about himself.
Felix Ever After is an honest and layered story about identity, falling in love, and recognizing the love you deserve.
