It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!
Hi loves!, I hope you’re having a great start to the week, I know it is hard to start after the weekend, so from here, I send THE BEST ENERGIES 🌻 for you all !. Today I bring you the weekly meme “It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?”, which I love since it allows us to keep abreast of our recent and future readings, so without further ado let’s start !!
What I Read Last Week
Gathering Darkness (Falling Kingdoms #3) by Morgan Rhodes
Love, vengeance, and greed spark a deadly quest for magic in the third book of the Falling Kingdoms series
Prince Magnus has just witnessed torture, death, and miracles during the bloody confrontation that decimated the rebel forces. Now he must choose between family and justice as his father, the cruel King Gaius, sets out to conquer all of Mytica. All Gaius needs now are the Kindred—the four elemental crystals that give godlike powers to their owner. But the King of Blood is not the only one hunting for this ancient, storied magic. . . .
THE KRAESHIANS join the hunt. Ashur and Amara, the royal siblings from the wealthy kingdom across the Silver Sea, charm and manipulate their way to the Kindred, proving to be more ruthless than perhaps even the King of Blood himself.
THE REBELS forge ahead. Princess Cleo and vengeful Jonas lead them, slaying with sweetness, skill, and a secret that can control Lucia’s overpowering magic—all so they can use the Kindred to win back their fallen kingdoms.
THE WATCHERS follow Melenia out of the Sanctuary. They ally in the flesh with King Gaius, who vows to use Lucia’s powers to unveil the Kindred.
The only certainty in these dark times is that whoever finds the magic first will control the fate of Mytica. . . . but the four element gods of the Kindred have other plans.
LOVE IT!, it’s one of the best books I’ve read so far this year and it only makes me feel even more excited to continue with this series, I love the characters so much that it will be super painful for me to let them go!
I wish that this series will last forever because it’s so GOOD
What I’m Reading At Present
The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue (Guide #1) by Mackenzi Lee
Henry “Monty” Montague was born and bred to be a gentleman, but he was never one to be tamed. The finest boarding schools in England and the constant disapproval of his father haven’t been able to curb any of his roguish passions—not for gambling halls, late nights spent with a bottle of spirits, or waking up in the arms of women or men.
But as Monty embarks on his Grand Tour of Europe, his quest for a life filled with pleasure and vice is in danger of coming to an end. Not only does his father expect him to take over the family’s estate upon his return, but Monty is also nursing an impossible crush on his best friend and traveling companion, Percy.
Still it isn’t in Monty’s nature to give up. Even with his younger sister, Felicity, in tow, he vows to make this yearlong escapade one last hedonistic hurrah and flirt with Percy from Paris to Rome. But when one of Monty’s reckless decisions turns their trip abroad into a harrowing manhunt that spans across Europe, it calls into question everything he knows, including his relationship with the boy he adores.
I’m really enjoying this book, I think the plot is quite entertaining, still, I don’t think it’s its strong point, I think the incredible thing about the book is the construction of the characters and the dialogues, they’re perfectly done, and that keeps me reading. On the other hand, although I love Percy and Felicity SO MUCH, honestly it seems that I can’t feel connection with Monty (don’t kill me lol) there are several things that I don’t like about him, but I will tell you more in my review
Up Next
🌸 Honestly I don’t know if I will read something more this month, I have a very important test in the first days of July, therefore I have been studying a lot and this hasn’t left me much time to read, but it’s okay cause after the test I will have enough time to return to my reading as usual
So if I don’t read anything else is okay for me, it has really been a challenge to study, read, work, and take over the blog as well, and I think I’ve done a pretty good job with that, so I’m happy with that. Even so, if I read something, it would be The Bear and The Nightingale by Katherine Arden and if I don’t get to read it this month I’ll read it anyway in the next one🌸
Currently reading Carry on

I’m reading three books right now and it’s so crazy (I literally never do this). And as soon as I finish them I am never doing that ever again. It’s so daunting trying to finish three books at the same time that I’ve been avoiding reading as a whole which is not great. And on top of that I’ve been crazy busy with work. Ahh!
And to actually answer your question, I’m reading The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson, The Wild Dead by Carrie Vaughn, and The Slow Regard for Silent Things by Patrick Rothfuss.

Oh I completely understand, it’s impossible for me to read multiple books at once, once I tried and it was a mess lol.
I hope that at least they’re good readings! 😄
