Mini-Reviews | 2 Great ARCs & 2 Spooky Amazing Stories 🌙

🌙  Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day, it makes me SO happy to come back with another post this month, since I’ve had super busy days, so I’ll celebrate each post that I upload and give it the value it deserves, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do by writing them.❤️ Today I decided to bring you a post with 4 mini-reviews of books that I’ve read in the previous months and I haven’t had time to review before, so I thought it was fun to create a single post where I highlight them and give them the attention they deserve, but It’s also obviously a good way to catch up with them and bring you all my thoughts. 👏🏻 👏🏻
Of course, even though these reviews aren’t as extensive as my regular reviews tend to be, didn’t mean I haven’t touched on every important point, in fact the only difference is that in these reviews I go straight to the point when talking about every aspect of them, cause you know I like to ramble sometimes so I hope it really is something that helps you to know a little about these books, but also that you can get each idea and thought that I want to transmit here.
 🥰

I wanted to thank you as I always try to do, for the love and support that you continue to give me and to the blog in these moments when I can no longer be so active, that always makes me feel super happy and also gives me that encouragement to want to return to write, which you know I love to do with all my heart. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU because also the blog has officially reached 6k followers! 🥳 It’s crazy, it seems like yesterday when I just started posting and it was a disaster (LOL) but even so, I always had so much fun, this space means a lot to me for all the beautiful people I’ve met but also because it is a very special way of expression for me. 😭

The books I’ll talk about next are The Last Secret You’ll Ever Keep by Laurie Faria Stolarz, The Helm of Midnight (The Five Penalties, # 1) by Marina J. Lostetter, Bridge of Souls (Cassidy Blake, # 3 ) by Victoria Schwab & Horrid by Katrina Leno. 📝

Trouble is haunting Cassidy Blake . . . even more than usual.

She (plus her ghost best friend, Jacob, of course) are in Paris, where Cass’s parents are filming their TV show about the world’s most haunted cities. Sure, it’s fun eating croissants and seeing the Eiffel Tower, but there’s true ghostly danger lurking beneath Paris, in the creepy underground Catacombs.

When Cass accidentally awakens a frighteningly strong spirit, she must rely on her still-growing skills as a ghosthunter — and turn to friends both old and new to help her unravel a mystery. But time is running out, and the spirit is only growing stronger.

And if Cass fails, the force she’s unleashed could haunt the city forever.

August Wrap Up | #ARCAugust, Latinx Readathon & Goodbye Reading Slump ❄️

❄️ Hi guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day full of good readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new post… my August Wrap Up! where I’ll tell you ALL about my readings of the month. At last, guys, I can come with good news about my reading because August was the month where I was finally able to defeat my Reading Slump and I was able to enjoy the reading process without any problems, so I’m very happy and excited for the months to come! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 I think July was the month where I was trying to get out of my reading slump, but August is the month where I finally felt like I was able to really do it. Therefore and thanks to this, my month has been incredible in terms of readings and I’ve quite enjoyed most of the books I’ve read which is even better, in fact, I’ve given my second 5 stars of the year, this it’s not a drill!, and I’m super excited to tell you everything about it. 😊

This August I’ve participated in two “challenges” the first has been ARC August which is all about, as its name suggests, about reading ARCs and getting up to date with them, and I think I’ve done a pretty good job with this one, I haven’t read every ARC that I had on my list, but I do have read I think half of them, which is already quite positive & on the other hand, I’ve participated in Latinx Readathon, which is an incredible Readathon where we have a Bingo Board and we must read each book by Latinx authors for each promp (you can find more information about it HERE) and as I completely loved the idea, I wanted to support it by participating and I completed my personal challenge with this one, which was completing a bingo line… so YAY! Besides this, I enjoyed every book I read and that makes me very happy. 🥳

Besides that it has been a great month in terms of my readings, I want to take a moment as always, to thank the beautiful support that each of you gives me every day and every month with my blog. It’s a blessing to have this space and also that my works are respected means a lot, so THANK YOU SO MUCH, Amores, I’ve had the chance to meet new incredible bookish people in August, and that’s really exciting, so I look forward to a September full of love and full of support. 🥺 🥺 🥺

So, going into more detail about my readings this month, we have a great variety that has even inspired me to create new challenges to try in the future and share it with you here on the blog. 😍
First, we have some ARCs that I really liked,
two of them are incredible fantasy/paranormal sequels where both stories evolve a lot & the other ARC was a sad disappointment, a great promise but a poor execution.
Then we have three wonderful Latinx books that I’ve loved,
one of them is a romantic and super light short novel, the other is a shocking and raw anthology that will make you think & finally my new 5 stars: an absolutely meaningful story about how to forgive and move on.
Then I was also able to finish a book that I had been reading since July and I really enjoyed that one, a brilliant and gloomy plot & I also chose one of the books from my “Back-Up Pile”, which
was another sequel that I was dying to read and I ended up adoring it.

So without further ado, LET’S GET STARTED! I’m super excited to share with you all my thoughts about each of these books & I hope you enjoy it. ❄️

💫 Hi guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day! Today I bring you another part of our series, the book meme “Down the TBR Hole”which I’m doing hoping that it will help me to reduce the number of books that are in my current TBR

My plan is to upload this meme every week where. (I’m glad that now you want to see more books in this post so I decided to do 10 books per post instead of 5, not only will it be MUCH more entertaining and fun, because we’ll have more books to talk about, but I’ll also be able to clean my TBR faster which is great!) so, I’ll show you 10 books of which I’ll choose which one I’ll keep or get rid of. I want to make this weekly meme as interactive as possible, so I’ll be consulting a lot with you, to decide what to do. There will be those books which I’ll be interested in (Keep), those which I’ll not be interested in anymore (GO) and those which I’ll not be sure about, and with those, I’ll need your help. So please, let me know all your thoughts in the comments and I’ll be able to take my decision and let you know in the next post. 💫

I’m very happy because I’ve seen that you have participated a lot in the previous post, leaving me your comments, so I’m super excited to continue with this weekly meme.
If you’re doing the same meme right now, let me know so I can check your post out and leave my thoughts there 💖Read More »

October Wrap Up [2018]

Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de SPRINGTIME (1)

🌸 Hi Guys!, I hope you’re having a beautiful day, today I’ll share with you my October Wrap Up, where I tell you about the books that I’ve read during the month. Well, this month really wasn’t what I expected, at all. As you know, I took 2 weeks off, in which I’ve been completely absent from the blog and I took time for myself and my family, and although I spent an incredible time, I read almost nothing. I know that I said I would continue my usual reading but it wasn’t like that, I don’t know what happened, but the weeks flew by and I realized that I had hardly read a couple of pages, so I ended up failing completely with my reading in these free weeks
On the other hand, don’t worry, because I’ve read 3 books, which I read in the first weeks of the month, it’s not much, I know, but at least I have something to talk about in this post. I’ll not lie to you, I’m disappointed with myself since I thought I could read more, but well, I have no excuse, I was simply focused on other things.
Even so, I enjoyed the 3 books that I get to read and I’m excited to tell you about them, I hope everyone has had a creepy month full of good readings🌸

I’m super excited to return, I want to thank again for all your beautiful messages and for understand my decision. I LOVE you guys, this community is wonderful. I have been thinking many new things for the blog and I can’t wait to share it with all of you 💕 Read More »

When The Inspectres head to ultra-haunted Edinburgh, Scotland, for their new TV show, Cass—and Jacob—come along. In Scotland, Cass is surrounded by ghosts, not all of them friendly. Then she meets Lara, a girl who can also see the dead. But Lara tells Cassidy that as an In-betweener, their job is to send ghosts permanently beyond the Veil. Cass isn’t sure about her new mission, but she does know the sinister Red Raven haunting the city doesn’t belong in her world. Cassidy’s powers will draw her into an epic fight that stretches through the worlds of the living and the dead, in order to save herself.

October TBR [2018]

Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de SPRINGTIME (5)

🎃 Hi babes! I hope you’re having a great day. Today I bring you my TBR of the month of October, where I tell you about the readings that I’ve planned for this month. October, as we all know, is the the horror month and another thing that I like as much as watching horror movies is reading books with a spooky or mystery theme, so that’s exactly what I’ll be doing this month. I think I created a great list, which has me very excited, but in fact, I planned a totally different one at first, but then I changed my mind at the last moment and I think this list fits much better with the theme of this month.
I did such a good job with my reading in September, that I honestly feel excited about adding a little more books than usual to my list this month, I’ll not be pushing myself so hard, but I want to have several choices in case I can read them all, which is always the goal, but even if I can’t, it will be fine. I have 7 book in my TBR: some ARCs, New Releases, another re-reading, which I’m really enjoying doing and an exciting surprise!🎃

🌸I’ll be having vacations this month, I think for 2 weeks, they’ll start on the 16th, we plan this with my boyfriend during the year and I’ll be taking a break from the blog for that weeks. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing this and this blog is my baby, but every year I always need to have some time for myself, it helps me a lot to rest, for myself and for my mental health of course. But then I’ll return as always, I’ll be obviously reading during those days that I’m not here and when I return I’ll tell you everything about it 🌸Read More »
