Spooky Season Post #4 | Mystery/Thriller Book List: My Favorites, On My TBR & 2021 New Releases! 🧐

🧐 Hi guys, I hope you’re having a wonderful day full of the best and most spooky reading! 🖤 As promised, today I bring you one of my favorite genres to continue celebrating this horror season by exploring beyond the horror genre itself, because I truly think that a good atmospheric and intriguing mystery/thriller book can be just as spooky as scary books. 👻 So, clearly, today I bring you a list where I’ve decided to compile several categories within the mystery/thriller and suspense genre, where I’ll be sharing with you some of my favorite books within the genre, others that intrigue me a lot and therefore are part of my TBR, and, on the other hand, as I always like to do, I’ll be sharing another mini-list with the most intriguing 2021 new releases within the genre! 🙌🏻

I hope you can enjoy this post as much as the others, I know that horror genre itself can be a bit intimidating for some readers, and that’s fine, so I think exploring other genres is also super valid for all of us to enjoy this season 🕸. I also want to encourage you to explore a little bit about the authors of the new releases to support them, so as always I’ll be including links so you can add them to your TBR faster, as well as some reviews for those books I’ve already read. 😊
Of course, I’ll be more than happy for you to comment below with your thoughts on this post and the series we’re doing on the blog, I’d love to see what you’re thinking and of course, ready to add lots of books to my TBR so feel free to leave me your favorite titles as well.  🌲

Again, thanks for the support and love, you’re wonderful, I’ve been trying to be more consistent visiting as many blogs as I can because I honestly love to support you and be there for you too. 🥰
I hope you enjoy the post a lot, that you can find new reads to enjoy, get comfortable, make yourself a coffee or a tea or whatever you love to drink, and get ready because we have a lot of books coming up!☕️ Now yes, let’s get started! 🧐

Underrated Books by Well-Known Authors || 🍃

🍃 Hi guys! I hope you’re all having the best day and especially, enjoying your current reading. 💕 Today I had this idea to write you a recommendation post, but then something came to my mind and I couldn’t ignore it, so I think it will become a beautiful post *fingers crossed*, the idea is to highlight underrated books that have been written by well-known authors, I’ll mention the more well-known and loved works of each author as well, but I’ll focus on one book that although it doesn’t have so much recognition personally I think they’re incredible and deserve more love.

Sometimes we know an author for one of his most outstanding works, but this doesn’t mean that his other works aren’t as good or even better, each book that I’ll mention below is worth highlighting because I’ve read and enjoyed them a lot, but above all because I feel that not many people have given them a chance, so my mission here is that maybe some of these titles interest you and you decide to add them to your TBR. 🥰 You know that I love being part of the growth of your endless stack to read, so I really hope you enjoy the post and find new books. 😊

Of course, I would love to know if you have read some of these books and I want you to give me your recommendation and your thoughts on each of the authors that I’ll mention below, without further ado let’s start! 🍃Read More »

Because Halloween is very close and October is the horror month, I’ve decided to make of this post a top 5 with some of my favorite spooky readings. I don’t usually read much horror, really, but I do love reading books with creepy atmospheres and dark stories, mystery, and suspense, so each of these books will surely have some of those characteristics. They may not be books that scare you to death, but they’ll surely make you live a whole experience of tension and suspense, on the edge of your seat. 😱
I hope you enjoy the post and that you decide to read some of these disturbing stories, I’ll really recommend each one of them and I would love to know your thoughts.

P.S: My intention with this post isn’t just to recommend books that I loved, but I also think that these are spooky books I don’t hear about too much and I believe with all my soul that they deserve greater recognition because they’re BRILLANT, the books, and their authors. I hope I can surprise you with books you haven’t heard enough about yet, and hopefully, you can find a new favorite  💫

💫 Hi guys, I hope you’re having a WONDERFUL day, today I’m super excited because I bring you a special post since I’ll be part of a series recommendations post/videos for what will be the long-awaited second part of the O.W.Ls., this is a Magical Read-A-Thon called N.E.W.Ts. 😍 If you have already participated in the first part then you know kind of what it’s about, but if you haven’t participated yet, like me lol, and you want to do this second part anyway, that’s AMAZING!, you can do it, no problems. I’m going to leave all the information in a link to the official video of the N.E.W.Ts. announcement on the Book Roast channel 💞, she’s INCREDIBLE, she has created a fantastic system for this read-a-thon, it’s full of interesting things, she has even created several documents explaining everything perfectly where you can get rid of all your doubts, and also you can go to the document where ALL the subjects and promps are, those you should follow according to the career you’ve already chosen. 😊
I’m so bad explaining things, I swear,it’s like a chip in my head turn off every time I try lol, that’s why I don’t want to even try to, it’s a very complex read-a-thon and it’s really well thought out, so please check the link that I leave for you above to get all the information 😅

I’m so excited and happy to participate in something so big in the community, which I feel blessed to belong to, I know that many people will participate and I can’t wait to share some recommendations with you. 💕
As there are many grades and promps, the created has thought that it would be a good idea to separate ourselves by groups according to our Hogwarts Houses, to bring you some recommendations. In my pot, as everyone knows, I’m Hufflepuff 💛, so I’ve had to bring some recs for Care of Magical Creatures, Herbology & Muggles Studies.👏🏻 Each of them has three different promps that you must fulfill in order to achieve your goal. So if you plan or want to take any of those grades, then this is the right place for you!
I’ll be recommending 18 books, I ‘ve decided to do 2 for each promp, so it will be more fun and you’ll also have more options to choose from 👍🏻
I’m SO EXCITED, so without more further ado, let’s start!
I hope you enjoy and can find a book to add to your TBR for this wonderful Read-A-Thon💫

September Wrap Up [2018]

Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de SPRINGTIME (1)

🌸 Hi Guys!, I hope you’re having a beautiful day, today I’ll share with you my September Wrap Up, where I tell you about the books that I’ve read during the month. I feel so pleased with myself for everything I’ve managed to read this month, not only because the quantity is good, but for the quality, as I always say, and also because this month I managed to read all the books that were in my TBR and I could even read one and a half more, so YAY! I’m really happy with my month, it has been amazing, I’ve also had a new experience that was participating in the Contemporary-A-Thon and it was really fun. I think that thanks to the read-a-thon I’ve pushed myself to read more and discover that I’m capable of. So I hope to be able to participate again in another one, I don’t know if this year, but we’ll see, the important thing is that I had an incredible time and also I could share it with all of you which is what makes me happy 💕

This month I read 7 books, which is incredible for me, so as I said before, super happy with my amount. We have a lot of contemporary, of course, among them mystery, romance and a new format which has greatly surprised me, but also a dystopic re-reading. I haven’t had really bad readings, like BAD ones, well maybe one lol, but I can say that I’ve enjoyed almost everything that I’ve read, in different levels, but I did. I read a total of 2369 pages, OMG that sounds like a lot, I don’t usually count my pages read but I think it can be an incentive for me, so I maybe start doing it

I’ve reached 1000 followers on my Twitter, and this is not something that I’m obsess about, in fact before I didn’t even look at it, but I feel so grateful for the support and love that I’ve felt in that social network, as well as here on the blog, so I just wanted to say that if you’re one of those people who actually follows me somewhere, here, on Twitter or even Goodreads, I’m infinitely grateful to you, really. It feels like a lot of love and it’s a great incentive to continue giving the best of me every day

And now, without more further ado, I’m dying to tell you all about my readings of this month…Read More »

There are no more cheerleaders in the town of Sunnybrook.

First there was the car accident—two girls gone after hitting a tree on a rainy night. Not long after, the murders happened. Those two girls were killed by the man next door. The police shot him, so no one will ever know why he did it. Monica’s sister was the last cheerleader to die. After her suicide, Sunnybrook High disbanded the cheer squad. No one wanted to be reminded of the girls they lost.

That was five years ago. Now the faculty and students at Sunnybrook High want to remember the lost cheerleaders. But for Monica, it’s not that easy. She just wants to forget. Only, Monica’s world is starting to unravel. There are the letters in her stepdad’s desk, an unearthed, years-old cell phone, a strange new friend at school. . . . Whatever happened five years ago isn’t over. Some people in town know more than they’re saying. And somehow Monica is at the center of it all.

There are no more cheerleaders in Sunnybrook, but that doesn’t mean anyone else is safe.

Hi guys!, I hope you have an incredible start to the week, today I bring you as the title says, my Contemporary-A-Thon Wrap Up, where I’ll tell you everything about how my first Read-A-Thon was and everything I’ve read this week.💕

I’m a little sad that it’s over but honestly I’m super happy to have participated, as you know I hadn’t picked a lot of books because I know I wasn’t going to be able to read them all and I honestly wanted it to be a fun experience and it really was! I think I’ve proven myself that I’m able to read much more than what I actually read per month and that makes me very happy. Probably what I’ve read doesn’t seem like a lot for many of you, cause I know that you all have read a lot in this Read-A-Thon, but for me it was fantastic and I’m very pleased about it. So without further ado, I’ll tell you how it was…Read More »
