Hi, my lovely readers!! I trust you’re having a delightful day filled with captivating reads and surrounded by an abundance of love as we embrace the holiday spirit in December!β€οΈToday, I’m thrilled to bring you the month’s wrap-up, sharing insights into both my reading adventures and general life happenings. ππ»
Would you believe it’s been over two years since I last penned one of these posts? Oh my, the time has flown! π«£ I felt a strong urge to rekindle my connection with you through my posts, and that’s precisely what I aimed to achieve this past November. Returning after a prolonged hiatus from this literary world was a joyous experience, and I’m having so much fun! ππ» ππ»
I extend my heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of support and encouragement in November. Your comments have been a beacon of positivity and inspiration. Thank you SO MUCH, sincerely. Your unwavering support is one of the driving forces behind my return. This community has been an incredible companion over the years, especially during times when I lacked someone to share my love for books. You all have become my literary family, as I affectionately like to call you. π π π
Your impact on me is immeasurable, and I hope you can sense the genuine energy I’m putting into these posts. I aspire for it to transcend the screen, reaching you with the warmth and love you’ve shared with me.
Here’s to many more shared moments in our literary journey! π₯Ήβ¨β¨
So, back to my month-end wrap-up! November turned out to be a month of comebacks for me, and I thought it’s only right to give you a little peek into what’s been happening in my corner of the blogosphere. So, without any more delays, let’s jump into today’s post!Β π
I absolutely can’t start without sharing that, over the past few days, I’ve been revisiting the definitive list of book bloggers I crafted a few years ago right here on the blog. My aim is to keep it as up-to-date as possible, making it a resourceful tool for authors, publishers, and fellow book bloggers to easily discover and connect with others. The list is neatly organized alphabetically for convenience. My vision is to foster more support and interaction within the amazing bookish community. As you know, it’s not just current but also entirely open for anyone who wishes to join at any time. The only request is that you give me a heads up! ππ»
Thank you immensely for supporting this project. I take great pride in it, and I genuinely hope it brings us all closer together.β€οΈ
The Definitive Book Blogger List π’
As I mentioned earlier, November was dedicated entirely to rediscovering the joy of reading. After a hiatus of almost two years due to various personal and professional changes, I decided to immerse myself in the world of books again! YAY! To ease back into my reading routine, I chose to revisit one of my all-time favorites from the talented Taylor Jenkins Reid: “Maybe in Another Life.”
This book holds a special place in my heart. Its seamless blend of magic and realism, combined with the author’s masterful storytelling, guarantees a delightful reading experience. Jenkins Reid’s skill ensures the creation of authentic characters that resonate with readers on a personal level.
In essence, the story revolves around a girl returning to her hometown, seeking a fresh start after a period where her life seemed devoid of purpose. Encouraged by her best friend, she embarks on a journey that leads to a reunion with past friends. The night takes unexpected turns, challenging her in ways she never anticipated.
What makes this book truly captivating is its exploration of two timelinesβone where a fateful accident lands the protagonist in the hospital and another where this incident never occurs. Each timeline unfolds in unique ways, shaping the course of her life in different directions. This narrative device prompts contemplation on the idea that, regardless of the circumstances, positive outcomes and the fulfillment of goals are possible.
I wholeheartedly recommend this emotionally charged yet delightfully fun and easily digestible read. For a more in-depth analysis of my thoughts, you can find a detailed review here on my blog. Additionally, if you enjoyed the book, I can’t resist suggesting the movie “Look Both Ways” Not only is it a wonderful cinematic experience, but its plot bears striking similarities to the themes explored in the book. It’s a reciprocal recommendationβif you loved the book, the movie is likely to captivate you, and vice versa.
βI know there may be universes out there where I made different choices and they led me somewhere else, led me to someone else. And my heart breaks for every single version of me that didn’t end up with you.β

I took a little stroll down memory lane with an old favorite and then decided to shake things up with a new fantasy book: ‘Black Sun’ by Rebecca Roanhorse, the first gem in the ‘Between Earth and Sky’ series. Now, let me spill the tea for a second.
So, the upside β there were some seriously cool moments in the story that had folks buzzing, and I totally get why. Roanhorse’s magic style is a bit of a mystery tour, with loads of creative vibes. I was totally hooked on her ideas and started thinking I might need to explore more of her literary playground.
But, on a personal level, I hit a few speed bumps. There was a tidal wave of info and a whirlwind of character names, making it a bit of a challenge to wrap my head around everything. I can see the story has its roots in some solid stuff, but the rhythm didn’t quite jive with mine.
Mixed bag of feelings aside, ‘Black Sun’ definitely brings some fantasy charm to the table, and I’m betting it’s got a fan club out there. Still, with my towering to-read list, I’m slapping a rain check on the series for now. No hard feelings, though β I’m pretty sure the next books will find their groove with the right crowd.
Oh, and can we take a hot minute to talk about those covers? Absolutely drop-dead gorgeous! The whole series is like a feast for the eyes, especially if you’re a sucker for stunning book covers. Cheers to that!

Currently immersed in Sarah J. Maas’s “Throne of Glass” (Throne of Glass #1), and I’m stoked to finally dive into this series that’s been lounging on my TBR for what feels like forever, lol. Sitting at around 60% completion, hoping to wrap it up in the next few days.
While it’s not exactly a mind-blowing book, so far, it’s undeniably entertaining and effortlessly readable. The characters might dance a bit on the clichΓ© side, and Celaena’s personality is raising an eyebrow or two for me β not always her biggest fan, gotta admit. But, hey, the plot’s got a grip on me, and I’m genuinely intrigued about where it’s steering.
Excitement levels are high, especially knowing I’ll get to dish about it with you all. Yeah, I might be fashionably late to the party, but hey, better late than never, right? If you’ve already taken a spin through this book or the whole series, hit me up with your thoughts!
βLibraries were full of ideasβperhaps the most dangerous and powerful of all weapons.β

I anticipate that upcoming months will be even more rewarding in terms of my reading journey. As I’m just easing back into it, my reading pace might be a bit slower than before, but the joy it brings me is undeniable. I’m genuinely excited about what lies ahead!
In this new phase, I’m choosing not to be too hard on myself. The main focus is to enjoy the process, even if it means reading just a little bit. While I’m confident I’ll surpass the two-books-a-month mark, my primary goal is to relish every moment in the company of all you wonderful readers. I’m aiming for beautiful experiences with my blog, intending for it to remain my safe haven.
The prospect of continuing to create content for the blog is something I’ve always cherished and will continue to do so. I invite you to join me on this journey β it’s bound to be a lot of fun! π₯°

God, I’m so glad to hear that! Not that I’m not enjoying it, I feel like it’s very addicting but I would definitely love to see growth in the characters and the plot advance more, so I love knowing it gets better!!! ππ»ππ»β¨οΈ
Oh, I feel you about the emotional damage! Long series get you so attached to the characters that then it all hurts.π

You had such a fun reading month! I admit that I never continue with the ToG series because of how Celaena’s is written and the change in direction in the latter half of the series, but I’m glad you had a good time with it! π
Here’s to an also successful reading month in December!
