2020 Surprises & Disappointments āš”ļø

āš”ļøĀ Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day full of good readings and wonderful moments! ā¤ļø Today I’m more than excited to share with you this second post in the series of “end of the year posts” and this time I bring you my Surprises & my Disappointments of this 2020.Ā šŸ™ŒšŸ» On the one hand, we have those books from which I didn’t expect so much and they ended up surprising me by how much I enjoyed them and on the other hand, those which I had high expectations from, but ended up disappointing me.
As always, I want to clarify that these opinions are only my own and don’t mean that we all have the same experiences with these books and that’s fine šŸ˜Š & on the other hand I also want to clarify that
the group of books that today I want to share with you that were surprising for me, are books that really captivated me but they didn’t reach my top of the year as favorites, so this is also a good opportunity to give them their moment of recognition, appreciate them and tell you a little about them.Ā šŸ˜
I also want to tell you that those books that are in the group of
my disappointments this year aren’t bad books at all, in fact, I’ve enjoyed them, it just that I get into them with high expectations or I expected much more from them and they just didn’t live up to and that’s why they’re in my disappointments. Which doesn’t mean they aren’t great reads anyway. šŸŒŸĀ
In short, I want this to be a fun post to share and exchange opinions, always knowing that we are all unique and different and that’s wonderful.Ā šŸ’ž
So you know that I hope to know everything you think in the comments about these books!

September Wrap Up | Latinx Book Bingo, Unexpected Reads & Unpopular Opinions šŸŒ»

šŸŒ» Hi guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day full of good readings.ā¤ļø Today I bring you a new postā€¦ my September Wrap Up! where Iā€™ll tell you ALL about my readings of the month. I’m quite pleased with my reading month, I think I could read a lot of what I expected and that makes me very happy, but also I’ve felt very relaxed in terms of my life as a reader, you know? I think I’ve learned to balance a bit my “normal life” with my “life as a reader” without stressing so much about it and that has been something very positive this month. šŸ„° I found myself enjoying most of my readings as well, and with that extra non-pressure feeling that I’ve been having, it was even a more enjoyable experience that I hope to take with me into October, which will be a pretty ambitious month for me. šŸŽƒ Still, I want to continue to feel relaxed and read just when I feel like it, and know that it’s okay if I read 4, 5, or 6 books a month, that that’s wonderful and I don’t have to push myself to read more. So in summary, I think I have had a month quite in tune and in harmony with myself, accepting myself with all and failures, knowing that it’s okay if I want to do things that don’t have to do with reading, and basically be at peace with the blogging process as well šŸ˜Š. I think that if it’s something that interests you, I could talk more in another post about the balance between daily life, blogging, and reading, I think it’s something interesting to discuss.

As I always do, I want to thank you immensely for the support and love you have towards me and towards the blog, I love you deeply, you know that and I know how lucky I’m to have each one of you commenting and liking my posts, I always feel all that lovely energy and it makes me SO happy. I want to say thank you again, for having voted for me in this 2020 Book Blogging Awards, because I’ve won for Best Recommendations šŸŽŠ and I still cannot believe it, it’s such a great honor, YOU’RE INCREDIBLE & thank you SO SO much! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
In other news, but not least, I’ve changed many things on the blog, as you can see, and
I want to thank you for your words of support and love towards those changes šŸ„ŗ, I know that I’m not a graphic designer and there’s much that I still have to learn, but I’m happy with the changes, I’m about to celebrate 4 years with the blog and I already felt like changing a little to attract new energy of love and creation. I’m very excited about this new stage and I hope that you’re there to live it together.

So, going a little more specifically to my readings this month, it has been a very positive month.
I’ve participated in the Latinx Book Bingo, but I decide to do it something different and just focus on a stack of books all by Latinx authors and try to read as much as possible, obviously, it was too much and I knew that, so I didn’t get to read the vast majority, BUT I’m still happy because
almost all my readings of the month were by Latinx authors so YAY! šŸ˜
I‘ve even participated in a couple of blog tours that I’m very proud of because I’ve adored both Latinx authors releases, both super important readings, I’ll tell you more later. šŸ˜Š
I was also looking forward to catching up on a well-known trilogy of which I had an ARC from the second book, and
I have unpopular thoughts about it šŸ™„, so you should stick around to find out, but yeah, I was just hoping for a little more from them.
Then I encouraged myself to read a bit of contemporary and especially romance, which isn’t my genre at all, but I’m glad to be giving it another chance. Spring started where I live, so I thought it would be a good time to get out of my comfort zone.
And I also read a book with a lot of hype, and you know that always terrifies me, but I think this time it was worth it,
I loved it and it has that horror/gothic touch that I had not read for a long time. šŸ‘šŸ» šŸ‘šŸ» šŸ‘šŸ»

So, as you can see, I have a lot that I want to talk to you about, so without further ado, make yourself comfortable, I hope you enjoy & let’s get started! šŸŒ»

Top 5 || My Favorite 3 Stars Books ā˜˜ļø

ā˜˜ļøĀ Hi guys! I hope you’re having the most wonderful day surrounded by amazing readings ā¤ļø

Before saying anything, I really want to thank from the bottom of my heart those sweet and wonderful people who have communicated with me to wish to my mother a good recovery, for those who don’t know she has had to undergo surgery to remove a fibroid in her womb, but 3 days later she’s already at home and although a little sore (which is normal) she’s doing really well, I’m SO proud of her. So, thank you SO SO much for your support and your beautiful messages, it means a lot to me, they arrived at a time when I needed them a lot.Ā šŸ„°Ā

So, why are we here today? Well, I’ve been thinking about those books that despite having several strong points and an original plot, I never talk about for being in that average scale of 3 stars, this is why I thought about creating this post, where I’ll be showing you a top 5 of my favorite 3 stars.Ā šŸ˜ŠĀ This means that I’ll be sharing with you those books that although I didn’t finish loving them or enjoying them with such intensity, I still think they’re good books with solid stories that many of you could enjoy and I’m very excited to talk a little about each one. I’ll be highlighting their strengths, as well as their weakness and in case you’re interested, I’ll also leave a link to my full reviews, so you can know my complete thoughts about them.Ā šŸ‘šŸ» I hope you enjoy it A LOT and let me know everything in the comments, let’s start!ā˜˜ļøĀ Read More »

New ARCs Recently Approved šŸ’«

Ā šŸ’«Ā Hi guys! I hope you’re having an amazing day.Ā šŸ’•Ā Today as the title says I come to share with you some ARCs that I’ve been so fortunate to receive recently. I don’t usually do this type of posts so often because I never have an appropriate amount of ARCs to show you at the same time and I’ve also had a bad streak with Netgalley, but it’s okay, it’s normal now that I can only “Wish For” each book. So, the other day I woke up with the great news that I’ve been approved with three very exciting ARCs so obviously I’m super excited to share them with you and as always talk a little about them in the comments. So without further ado, let’s start!Ā šŸ’«Read More »
