Spooky Season Post #1 | 31 Young Adult Horror Books to Keep You Up at Night ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ

๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Hi, bookish friends! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day full of the best spooky reading! ๐Ÿ–ค Today I’m super excited to share with you the first post of a new series where we’ll have various bookish content all related to horror season, and Halloween in generalย ๐Ÿ•ท, but don’t worry because if you’re not that into spooky and this crrepy vibe isn’t for you because I’ve got you covered too, so I’ll be trying to create posts that can be enjoyable for everyone, no matter what.ย ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป I hope you’re as much excited as I am, because as you know, I LOVE horror seasonย ๐Ÿ˜, even though in Argentina it’s not something we celebrate, I celebrate it on my own with many creepy books, movies and series, so I hope this year I can share this season with all of you. So, I invite you to stick around for this post series to not only share halloween-y books, but also exchange opinions to make it more fun!ย ๐Ÿ˜Šย

In this first post to open this series I wanted to bring you a bunch of Young Adult Horror books for you to enjoy during this season, so I thought a list of 31 books would be more than perfect! ๐ŸŽƒ Some things I tried to keep in mind when compiling this list are: first, that ๐ŸŒ• this books aren’t this year’s releases, as I’ll have a separate post for that specifically, and second, that ๐ŸŒ• the specific genre is “horror” and not “suspense”, “thrillers” or “mysteries”. Obviously there’s nothing wrong with those genres, I love them and they’re perfect to read during this time due to their dark atmospheres, but I wanted in this list to focus 100% on horror as the main genre. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป if you’re interested in seeing a list with the other genres as well, I’ll be more than happy to do it separately without any problems. ๐Ÿฅฐ

I don’t want to make this introduction too long, as we have a long way to go, so without further ado, I hope you enjoy this October content in general in the blogย ๐Ÿ•ธ, that you like this post, that you can find new titles to add to your TBR & obviously, I invite you to share all your thoughts about these books with me in the comments.ย ๐Ÿ˜˜ Now yes, LET’S GET STARTED!ย ๐Ÿ•ฏย

โ€ผ๏ธ All books will have a direct link to Goodreads in case you want to add them.

Top 5 | Wonderful Descriptive Books ๐ŸŒฒ

ย ๐ŸŒฒย Hi guys, I hope you’re having a wonderful day, full of good readings.โค๏ธ Today I’m super excited to come back with a top 5/recommendation post, this time all about books with beautiful descriptions.ย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปย
Lately, I’ve been working a lot on my WIP because I’m participating in NaNoWriMo, and because of this I’ve realized my weaknesses at the time of writing, and I think that my biggest weak point and where I really need to focus is on the descriptive scenes.ย ๐Ÿฅบ So thinking about this a lot has inspired me to create the list of books that I bring you today, and not only I adore all the books that I’ll mention below, but I also want to make this post as a kind of recognition to all these incredible authors for their wonderful work in creating the most beautiful descriptive scenes that make each chapter atmospheric and even almost poetic.ย ๐Ÿ˜ย
As I’ve mentioned in a few posts in the past, I’m not the biggest fan of over-descriptive plots that can spend hundreds of pages talking about weather and tree shapes, but
I do appreciate it a lot when I find the right amount of descriptions about the surroundings or even about the characters because it gives depth to the plot and they can make us feel almost like we are there within the story experiencing everything alongside with the characters.ย ๐Ÿ˜Š
It’s a great tool to bring stories to life, so today I’m going to share with you my 5 favorite books with these characteristics.
I hope you enjoy it a lot, that this is something of your interest, and above all, that you can find new titles to add to your TBR, which always makes me very happy & now, without further ado, let’s get started!

October Wrap Up | A Month Full of Spooky & Amazing Readings ๐ŸŽƒ

๐ŸŽƒ Hi guys! I hope youโ€™re having a beautiful day full of good readings.โค๏ธ Today I bring you a new postโ€ฆ my October Wrap Up! where Iโ€™ll tell you ALL about my readings of the month. I’m super happy to have shared the month of October with you and besides, being here to share everything about my readings, you know that I LOVE horror, so I had a really fun month, watching a lot of horror movies and reading some pretty creepy stuff, and, in general, I’m quite happy with what I’ve been able to do during the month. ๐Ÿ˜Š In my personal life, it has been my mother’s birthday, and being able to spend it with her despite everything that’s happening in the world has been a blessing, always keeping in mind how lucky I’m to have my family close and to be able to visit them more often, that has really brought me very nice energy to my month, I’ve also resumed my morning walks ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป, now that everything is a little calmer the activities are being regulated better in my province, so I’ve had a little more freedom, always using a facemask, guys, super important, let’s take care of each other! So it has been a beautiful month, I’m also planning and working a little on my WIP, but I’ll start writing as such in November, like many of us I’ll be participating in Nanowrimo and super excited about it, because it will be my first time so we’ll see, maybe I’ll be sharing a bit of that with you next month. ๐Ÿฅบ ๐Ÿฅบ ๐Ÿฅบ

Of course, I want to thank you for all the support and love you’ve given me and my blog this month, it has been wonderful and it’s always a great blessing to see all those comments and likes and visits, at the end of the day to think that so many people have been taking their time to interact with me really means a lot, so thank you, my friends, you’re wonderful & I’m here super excited for another month together! ๐Ÿ’ž

Now about my reading month, I think I would have liked to do better and maybe read one more book, but most of myself is like super happy with what I’ve achieved, during the previous month I’ve reached a much-needed harmony about how I manage my time and being kind to myself has been first, I’m very happy to have so many passions and reading, regardless of the number of books, it will always be one of them, so I’m truly happy for each book I read. ๐Ÿฅฐ
I’ve participated in two readathons this month, one of them is
Hocus Pocus Readathon & the other is Gothtober Readathon, if you want to know more about them you can check my October TBR. I’ve had a lot of fun with both, I’ve combined several of my readings to make it easier for myself and I double up some challenges and promps, so I’ve done quite well in both. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป I think the positive of any readathon is feeling motivated to read and feel that emotion, you know? so super accomplished! ๐Ÿฅณ
What I’m most excited about my readings this month is that everything I’ve read I’ve enjoyed, I didn’t have a single bad reading this month, which is INCREDIBLE ๐Ÿ˜, you know that I’m quite picky with the books I read, so it’s a pleasant surprise.
I had a couple of readings that surprised me a lot, giving me much more than I expected from them. I’ve had another couple of readings with very shocking, intense, and interesting stories & Others spooky but adorable with incredible characters.
 ๐Ÿ‘ป

So, sorry to make my introduction always so long, don’t hate me ๐Ÿ˜‚, & without further ado, let’s get started, I’m excited to share my readings with you! ๐ŸŽƒ

October TBR | Trying to read all my spooky books: Hocus Pocus Readathon & Gothtober Readathon ๐ŸŽƒ

๐ŸŽƒ Hi, my beautifull bookish friends! I hope youโ€™re having the most incredible day with the best readings.โค๏ธ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I’m sharing with you my reading plans for the month of October. Guys, I’m SO EXCITED cause the horror month has officially begun and it’s one of my favorite months of the year because if you don’t know it yet, you should know that I LOVE everything that has to do with scary things: movies, books, EVERYTHING. ๐Ÿ˜ So like every year I will be watching many spooky series and horror movies, as well as those that are within the genre like, mystery or suspense, and obviously, I’m here today to share with you ALL my readings, of course, that are super spooky and disturbing, so really really excited and happy that this season begins. ๐Ÿ‘ป Here in Argentina, there’s no such thing as Halloween, so I’ll be celebrating it on my own, like every year!!! and I hope you stay there all this month accompanying me, I’ve planned some spooky recommendations and other posts that I’m really excited about to share with you, so stay tuned, it will be a beautiful and creepy month! ๐Ÿฅณ
As always before I start to tell you a bit about my plans for the month, I want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the support and love you have given me the previous month, I’m SOOOO happy to have you in my life, you have no idea, this blog means the world for me, as well as being part of this community that’s so wonderful. ๐Ÿ’ž  I LOVE YOU, ALWAYS & ALWAYS.
 ๐Ÿฅบ ๐Ÿฅบ ๐Ÿฅบ

So, I plan this month to participate in two readathons, I really couldn’t choose only one and LOVE the ideas of both, the creators have been super original and you can see both have worked so hard, so I want to give my support by participating, it will be SO MUCH FUN. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
The first will be
Hocus Pocus Readathon ๐Ÿง™๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ, a Readathon that I’m sure you’ve heard mentioned, is created by @pagesnink and @werewolflious & takes place from October 1st until the 31st. I LOVE that in this Readathon we have Teams: “Team Sanderson Sisters”, “Team Undead” & “Team Trick or Treaters”. Each Team has its own prompts, as well as each Team also has a Strength and a Weakness, all of which is perfectly detailed on Twitter, where you’ll find a thread with all the information you need to know, also where you can join to win points for your team. In my case, I’ll be #TEAMSANDERSONSISTERS and super excited for my team, and I have a very exciting stack to share with you later.
On the other hand, we have
Gothtober Readathon ๐Ÿ’€, which let me tell you, it has some BEAUTIFUL graphics, you can see the work put into it and I simply love each of the promps that I’ll later be sharing with you. This Gothic Readathon is hosted by @ladette_M, @Oliviascatastro, and @llittlewolf_ & will be taking place throughout the whole month of October as well. This also has a wonderful thread on Twitter where you can go to see all the info and also some recommendations for each prompt, which I’ll share with you below.

I’ve been able to put together a stack with books that I’ll be convincing and repeating for many of the prompts of both Readathons, so I don’t have to read one for each prompt because it would be impossible for me to do so. But I’m really happy with what I accomplished, I have a decent stack of spooky books that I’m very excited to read.  ๐Ÿฅฐ To be honest with you I’ll not be prioritizing my ARCs this month, I want to mention it directly because I have to be true to myself and this month I feel like I want to read other things, and that’s fine, even so, I always enjoy my ARCs and love the possibility of being able to be approved for each one of them, so I’ll read more in November. ๐Ÿ˜Š
And I think that’s it, hope I don’t forget to mention anything, I’m super excited about jumping right into what’s important right and sharing ALL my readings for this month with you, so without further ado, make yourself comfortable, prepare a delicious coffee &
LET’S START! ๐ŸŽƒ

Top 5 | Atmospheric Book Recommendations | #1 ๐ŸŒฟ

๐ŸŒฟ Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day, full of good readings, and of course, you’re safe and healthy.โค๏ธย Today is Friday and as you know I like to bring something different and more relaxed these days, so I decided to come out with a recommendation post sharing with you my top 5 atmospheric books. This will not be the only post, I want to make a mini-series type of thing where I’ll be sharing books with wonderful & vivid settings, others somewhat creepy, but above all beautiful and 100% atmospheric.ย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป The idea came out to me because I honestly LOVE this feature in books, it’s one of my favorite factors when I choose what to read and it always ends up having a great impact on my enjoyment, I just adore atmospheric books, when you feel that you can be in the place where the characters are and especially when you feel that you’re surrounded by that immensity or that landscape so vivid that you can almost touch, smell and feel everything around you. This is a feeling that I adore with my heart, so what I want with these posts is that you can also find a book that can make you feel all that and much more while enjoying the story and managing to fully commit yourself to the plot.ย ๐Ÿ˜ย
I hope you like the idea and that you decide to stay and follow this series of post and of course, I would love to know your opinion and your own recommendations for me, I’ll be adding MANY books to my TBR, so don’t hesitate to let me know everything in the comments. ย ๐Ÿฅฐย
Now without further ado, let’s begin, I’m super excited to share this very atmospheric top with you. ๐ŸŒฟRead More »

Top 5 | 5-Star Book Predictions | 2020 Edition ๐ŸŒฟ

๐ŸŒฟย Hi, guys! I hope you’re having the best day, surrounded by amazing readings.โค๏ธ Today I decided to start the week with something fun, so I’ll try to guess what books will be 5 stars for me this year. I know I did one of these in the past, but it was a disaster and I ended up not reading any of those books, so this time I’ll make sure that the books I mention are books that I know I’ll be reading during the year and so at the end of 2020, I’ll be able to return with a post telling you all about it. ย ๐Ÿ˜Šย
It’s quite difficult for me to give 5 stars, I tend to be quite demanding with my readings, but I still love this idea, I love to see it on videos and in other posts, so I thought it would be fun to do it myself. It’s also a great incentive to read these books since I’m dying of curiosity to know if they would eventually become 5 stars, even if it would end up being 4.5 stars, it would be wonderful for me.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
Super excited to share this list with you, each one of these books has a unique concept that resonates with me or I’ve read the authors in the past and I’ve loved their work, so that’s my justification. Now without further ado, let’s start!ย ๐ŸŒฟ

Top 5 || My Most Anticipated Books of 2020 ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ’ซ

๐Ÿ’ซย Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day, full of good readings!โค๏ธย I was thinking a lot this last week and I realized that I hadn’t yet shared with you my most anticipated books of next year, so I had to fix that. Even so, instead of making a list of 10 or more books, I’ve reduce my list a lot to my top 5 most anticipated books of 2020.ย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปย I’ve decided to do this because I know that as the year progresses I’ll have my “new monthly releases” posts and more thousands of other books that I’ll find out about, and I’ll end up adding too many books to my TBR that I’ll not read later, that’s why I decided to keep my list small and manageable, and then once the year has come I’ll know that these are the books that I want to focus on or that I want to give priority to, so this in addition to being a list of my most anticipated will also be a sort of TBR for the year, because I’m completely sure that I’ll read each one of them in 2020.ย ๐Ÿฅฐย
I feel super comfortable doing this kind of small list, so I hope that all this makes sense to you and that you enjoy the posts, I also hope you find in my list a book that’s of your interest.ย ๐ŸŒทย  Now, without further ado let’s start, my lovesย ๐Ÿ’ซ
